We stayed at this hotel for five nights .The location of the hotel is amazing. We booked a superior room with balcony and sea view and were very pleased with our room .However on the third day we had to contact reception to report a leak which we were told would be dealt with promptly .We had to contact receptionist a second time later that evening before anything was done We were moved to another room which wasnt great The room was not cleaned properlyIt was only when we asked to speak to the manager that we were taken seriously.The hotel was ready for business as there was carpets been shampooed and the decking area was been power washed .The service is very inconsistent .This is not a five star hotel what makes it is the views .The variety of food for breakfast was really great lots of fresh food etc .

The staff are very friendly and efficient and the breakfast offered great choice and all the food was very fresh. The only negative was the balcony didn\'t get cleaned in my opinion a very nice hotel but not a 5 star.

A couple of very old reviews about this hotel seemed not 100% favourable, so I booked only my first night initially, My two friends were already booked via a travel agent.
We all had such a comfortable night\'s stay I booked a further two nights, then my final night also.
It is one of the closet hotels to the old town, so it is possible to walk, unlike the hotels around Lapad Bay.
The views from the vast majority of rooms is truly spectacular, and good sized southerly aspect balconies. Very contemporary fittings, bathroom, general facilities.
Breakfast was a wonderful buffet with very friendly staff (omelet-maker Josep will brighten your day).
I didn\'t notice much activity at the casino, which seems a shame as a great facility for those who like casino\'s. Personally I wasn\'t there for the casino. Great cocktails at the bar (also overlooking the wonderful view of the Adriatic.)
Outdoor pool was freezing (end Sept) and even indoor pool could have been 2 degs higher, but apparently none of the hotels heat their outdoor pools. It was the one failing, given that after all, it is a five star hotel. However, the sea of course is the place to swim really. I imagine guests would pay an extra 5 Euros a night per room to have a nicely heated pool, and if only 40 rooms were occupied in low season 200 Euros should cover a 24 hour period heating cost. One thing about USA ... the pools are always warm year round.
The temperature of the pools does make me wonder about its suitability as a winter time resort.
I would still most certainly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning there on my next (second) trip to Croatia.
