The rooms are medium in size, clean and functional and were recently refurbished to a more bright appearance. The bathrooms are small but clean and functional and above standard for tourist-class hotel in Croatia. The restaurant is on the lower ground floor and has 450 seats inside and 150 seats on the terrace. The food is good and the service friendly. The hotel is a whitewashed concrete building in typical Mediterranean style. The lobby is spacious with marble tiled floor, white walls and an indoor bar at the end, connecting to a terrace bar. This is an ideal hotel for a budget traveller as the location is quiet, at the seaside but the distances to all attractions within Dubrovnik are short.

    The hotel was very confortable, clean and with a nice swimming pool. The beach was near to the hotel and staff was very friendly. The snac bar on swimming pool had good prices to eat and drink.It belongs to a resort , so you can enjoy the private beach, restaurants or bars on the rest of hotels of the valamar resort.

    The only disadvantage was that if you want to go to Dubrovnik city you must take a bus, which costs 2 euros aproximately, because the hotel is 6 Km from the city, .

    We had a nice stay at Tirena Hotel.
